Thoughts

“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.”

-Buddha

According to experts, an average human has anywhere from 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day; roughly, 35-48 thoughts a minute. Every day these thoughts affect our daily lives; not just in our choices, but whom we are as individuals.

But how do we consistently keep our thoughts aligned in such a way that our lives reflect what we think?

Words of affirmation/Power of belief:

I personally practice this exercise every day from the moment I wake up saying “Today is going be a great day.” By doing this, I prime my brain for positivity and I BELIEVE that it will be. Believing this phrase immediately changes my demeanor to a state of happiness. And 98% of the time, my day is good! Not only do I do this for my mornings, but for my career. And you can use this same tool for any area of your life. Examples I personally use,

“Today is going to be a great day.”

“I am in control of my thoughts.”

“I am going to accomplish everything I set my mind to.”

Thought consciousness:

A thought is like a seed. Whether it’s something you’ve thought about yourself or a limitation someone has put on you, once that seed has been planted, uprooting the idea is nearly impossible. But to stop this from happening, necessary action needs to happen as the idea enters your head. The first step is having awareness of these thoughts trying to creep in. Once you’re consciously aware, LITERALLY speak to the thought as if it’s someone you know and declare, “No, that’s not true.” And then affirm yourself with the uplifting affirmation or thought. With time and practice, your mind will callous itself over the old thoughts and will program itself to what you are feeding it.

These methods are the ones I reap the most benefits from. I challenge you implement these into your daily life and see how your life changes.
